I would like to thank all exhibitors for presenting their exhibits in such clean condition but I was perturbed to see some upright shoulders and high carried tails that spoilt the chances of some otherwise good exhibits. Minor Puppy (5: 1) 1. Littlechild's RAVENSETT DARK SECRETS An 8 month old dark B/B & tan full of type, very pretty feminine head with the darkest of eye, arched neck into well-laid shoulders super forehand and rear angulation, looked as if she enjoyed herself on the move. Will follow this youngster's development with interest. 2. Baker's MANDYSETT MIND YOUR MANNERS Head lean with plenty of work for one so young, lovely balance, good head shape with dark eye and sweet expression , well bodied, excellent construction from nose to tail, a happy mover. 3. Henry's BEECHANGER LITTLE SHREW Puppy (3: 0 )1. Dennis and Field's MARIGLEN FRANCESCA FENSTON . Well developed 9 month old light O/B ,very mature for her age, a most beautiful head and expression , so balanced, super angulation fore and aft, deep body, good spring of rib, short coupled and level topline which she held whilst moving freely covering the ground with drive. Presented in tip top condition and handled to perfection, BP and in agreement with my co-judge pleased to award her Best Puppy in Show. 2. Davis' CULVERWELL CALYPSO OF MERLEYCOPSE 10 month old O/B A little unsettled today and giving her handler a hard time but none the less a lot to like about this young lady, head of good shape, dark eye, long neck into well laid shoulders, level back and good tail set, strong bone and tight feet. Not as steady as 1 on the move. 3. Cozens' LARRENIE BONNIE LASS FOR EARLDOMS Veteran (3:2) 1. Bates's TUDORFIELD BLUE ANGEL A seven 1/2 year old B/B and how she seemed to enjoy her day. standing with an aloof air and movement that would put many a youngster to shame. Appealing head, good neck and shoulders well ribbed and short in loin well angulated rear end that drove well when moving so soundly. Junior (8:2) 1. Schoneville and Derry's FANTAILS JUST GEORGIA VOOR BALVENIE (IMP) A really super youngster, beautiful chiselled head with darkest of eye, superb construction, well angled forehand, strong bone and pasterns, well sprung rib cage and deep in the back rib, driving hindquarters moved with drive and enthusiasm, maturing nicely, another one to watch for the future. 2 .Richard DECOVERLY SWEET CAROLINE WITH RUBUSCOTT Pretty O/B with sweet head, strong neck arched into good shoulders, deep compact body, didn't move as steady as 1. 3 .Baker's MANDYSETT WHAT A DI' MOND Yearling (3:0) 1. Schoneville and Derry's FANTAILS JUST GEORGIA VOOR BALVENIE (IMP) 2. Golby and Deacon's SHADYMOORE PRYD 'N' PREJUDICE O/B Well proportioned head with a melting expression, deep chest, well ribbed up and level topline, overall a good sound bitch who moved well driving off her hocks. 3. Baker's MANDYSETT WHAT A DI'MOND Maiden (1:0) 1. Richards' DECOVERLY SWEET CAROLINE WITH RUBUSCOTT Novice (6: 3) 1. Richards' DECOVERLY SWEET CAROLINE WITH RUBUSCOTT . 2. Oliver's WANSLEYDALE CLOUDBERRY AT BRAMSTORM A very feminine dark B/B & tan with lovely outline when stood, good forehand conformation, well ribbed up with well muscled and angulated hindquarters, moved well, beautifully handled and presented. 3. Bridgeman's MANDYSET WELCOME RETURN Tyro (5:2) 1. Harris' WALSHAW MOONDUST B/B with a gorgeous head and expression soft expression and dark eye enhanced with low ear set and an eye patch. Long reachy and arched neck, level topline and good tailset On the move drove of strong hind quarters with soundness and style. 2. Reith's OWNWAYS TOUCH N TELL Another well constructed bitch pleasing head and forehand assembly with level back and good hind angulation, needs a bit more coat . Just preferred the outline of 1 on the move. 3. Bridgeman's MANDYSET WELCOME RETURN Graduate (6:3) 1. Deering's ROSETIMBER FOXY LADY A very pretty B/B who when settled began to show herself, beautiful head shape, dark eye and most appealing expression, deep flew and good stop, well arched neck flowing into well laid shoulders, good bone and strong pasterns, driving hindquarters, maturing nicely. 2. Bartholomew's SWANNERY TEAR DROP FOR BARTHOLEYS Light B/B, Another lovely bitch, not quite the head of 1 but super overall conformation moved with drive and well handled and presented in hard condition. 3. Montell's CULVERWELL SUMMER COLOURS Post Graduate (9:3) 1. Day's MANDYSET READY STEADY GO TO DECOVERLY O/B Not a large bitch but oozes quality from her beautiful head with the softest of expressions to the tip of her wagging tail. An excellent forehand good depth of brisket and spring of rib, short coupled with strong well angled and muscular hindquarters moved with real drive. 2. Cockett's HOLLYGROVE SECRET LOVE An attractive B/B who has so many attributes, her conformation is so sound and although she moved steady didn't really have the sparkle today. 3. Bartholomew's TATTERSETT MYSTIC DREAM AT BARTHOLEYS Limit (10:3) 1. Harris' MARIGLEN PRINCESS ROYAL AT GEMSETT Beautifully presented showing a balanced picture, soft melting expression with plenty of work in the head, long lean arched neck into well laid shoulders, short back, well ribbed with level topline and super tailset , powerful true and steady driving movement . 2. Hewitt's TATTERSETT DEMURE Another lovely lady elegant and stylish, put down to perfection in lovely coat and hard condition , good overall conformation, moved soundly with free flowing action. 3. Furze's TREGMORGAN DADDY'S GIRL Open (12:4) 1. Grimsdell's Sh Ch TATTERSETT COLOURS JW A beautiful light B/B & tan bitch so worthy of her title. Balanced and elegant, well constructed in all departments, lovely arched neck into well laid back shoulders, level topline held on the move, stylish driving mover with slashing tail in full coat and feather presented in immaculate condition , proud to award her the CC. R BiS. 2. Watkin's VALSETT STARLITE STARSHINE Another gorgeous bitch plenty of work in the head dark eye and well arched neck. Strong round bone & upright pasterns, Well bodied, strong quarters with great bend of stifle. Moved well using her slashing tail all the time. In good coat and hard condition. unlucky to meet 1 today in such form. RCC . 3. Oliver's WANSLEYDALE SONGBIRD AT BRAMSTORM Special Beginners (6:3) 1. James' INGELLA PINCH OF NUTMEG Light O/B Reserve in a strong Post Grad class a very attractive and well balanced orange bitch, pretty head, well bodied, good depth and spring of rib, short coupled with good angulation fore and aft, moved steady. 2. Hewitt's TATTERSETT DOUBLE ACTION A raw youngster placed vhc in a good Junior class, has all the parts in the right place just needs time to mature. Moved well for one so young. 3. DOGS I felt privileged to have been invited to judge the dogs at this prestigious show. Mouths on the whole were good but shoulders still cause me concern as does the hind movement action in many dogs which resulted in a few otherwise good dogs been penalised. Minor Puppy ( 2 0 ) 1 Barlow's Mandysett Mind Over Matter 7 month orange, pleasing head and expression, good body properties for its age, level top line, stifles well bent, quite steady on the move for a youngster. 2 Bates' Tudorfield Goes Forth a six month old orange baby pleasing in outline, good bone and well angulated hindquarters, not as steady as one on the move. Puppy ( 1 1 ) 1 Montell's Culverwell Flashman although standing alone this 19 month tri was well worth his first placing, attractive head, dark eye, good in front, well sprung ribs and bend of stifle, good coat for a youngster and moved soundly. Best Puppy Dog. Veteran ( 3 0 ) 1 Jolley's Bellesett Masterpiece of Jolymore nine year old orange shown in good coat, pleasing overall shape, attractive head, straight front and firm rear quarters, moved correctly and pleased, with my co-judge to award him Best Veteran in Show. 2 Mellish's Ownways Moving Shadow For Monbrec a well made blue dog, pleasing in head and expression, well off for bone with strong rear quarters and a good level topline which he maintained on the move. 3 Harradine - Wildquest Samba Spirit of Halliana. Junior ( 13 5 ) 1 Watkin's Wansleydale Rowanberry of Valsett eye catching orange youngster, compact and attractive in profile, pleasing head, excellent front and well set shoulders, forearms straight and widely sprung ribs, strong rear quarters, moved soundly. 2 Jolly's Wansleydale Loganberry at Jolymore - attractive blue, pleasing head and dark eye, good front, shoulders well set back, short and level back, well ribbed up, good rear quarters, stifles well bent, moved soundly. 3 Wansleydale Huckleberry at Steeplow. Yearling ( 5 2 ) 1 Golby's Shadymoore Cowboys 'n' Kisses well constructed orange, very good bone and pleasing when viewed in profile, good head, nice reach of neck let into well set shoulders, level topline held well on the move, shown in good coat. 2 Wright's Fishwick Darling Lad very close to 1 and these two oranges could easily change places another day, pleasing head, clean muscular neck, good body properties, strong rear quarters, shown in good coat. 3 Andrews' Llinlow Impressionist. Maiden ( 5 2 ) 1 Brown's Tattersett Double Barrel unplaced in a good Junior class but a worthy class winner here, nice shape of head in profile, good reach of neck let into well laid shoulders, level topline with tail correctly set almost in line with the back. 2 Taylor Atyeo's Pewterspeare Pirate Cove nicely shaped blue, good front and rear angulation shown in good coat, moved happily. 3 Shadwell's Swannery Dark Secret. Novice ( 5 3 ) 1 Wood's Bournehouse Lord Harry attractive blue, pleasing head and dark eye, very nice shape in outline, strong straight and rounded bone in forequarters, body properties good with widely sprung ribs, wide loins and strong hindquarters, moved soundly. 2 Brown's T D Barrel. Tyro ( 5 3 ) 1 Lenzi's Pilsdon Jack-A-Dandy orange boy, good overall shape, excellent bone, correct shoulder placement, forearms straight, deep in back ribs, well muscled including strong second thighs, moved soundly. 2 Wood's B L Harry. Graduate Dog ( 7 1 ) 1 Slack's Ravensett Dark Fire quite a dark blue well built dog, proud head and dark eye, good rounded bone, short pasterns, shoulders set back, well sprung ribs and deep in back ribs, strong muscular rear legs, good bend of stifles allowing the dog to move soundly. 2 Grimsdell's Tattersett Final Edition pleasing tri when seen in profile, good body properties with quality forequarters, well set shoulders, back short and level and well ribbed up, good rear angulation, shown in good coat. 3 Ball's Bondgate Wayward Lad From Beaverhill. Post Graduate ( 7 1 ) 1 Tucker's Walshaw Moonstorm attractive blue, most pleasing of heads, dark eye and appealing expression, nice shape in profile, good forequarters with correct shoulder placement and well defined hindquarters, stifles well let down, moved soundly, just needs a little more time to reach full maturity. 2 Critchell-Imms' Tattersett Smoke Screen a well made tri, pleasing in head and expression, well rounded bone, shoulders well set back, deep chest and good spring of rib, well presented and moved well. 3 Kirsch's Soul Mate of Sorbus. Limit ( 11 3 ) 1 Wells' Hollygrove Story Teller At Ritanor attractive blue with the most appealing of heads so well proportioned, expressive dark eyes which complete the picture, very good shape in outline and does not disappoint on examination, good bone, sound forequarters, lean slightly arched neck let into well set back shoulders, body well ribbed up, hindquarters strong and muscular, well coated and moved with style covering the ring effortlessly. Pleased to award him the CC and to have the Referee award him B.O B. 2 Day's Decoverly Celtic Venture a very good compact tri dog pleasing overall shape, attractive head, good dark eye and expression, well placed shoulders, strong body properties and sound rear quarters enabling him to move well with a good driving ation off the hocks. Pleased to award him the R.C.C. 3 Mellish's Harvancourt In Touch With Monbrec. Open ( 12 4 ) 1 Hill & Littlechild's Sh Ch Ravensett American Gigalo At Somerled dark blue, lovely shape in outline, well proportioned head and good dark eye, strong forquarters, correct shoulder placement, level topline, good bend of stifle, well presented in good coat, lost to the CC winner in the challenge on movement. 2 Derry's Sh Ch Balvenie What A Sensation orange with a pleasing head and expression, well constructed both front and and quarters, good shoulders and top line, not in the best of coats on the day and movement whilst sound lacked his usual sparkle. 3 Andrews' Llinlow Sovereign Gold. Special Beginners ( 6 1 ) 1 Slack's Ravenset D Fire. 2 Stephenson's Wansleydale H A Steeplow placed third in a strong Junior class - a well made tri, pleasing shape in profile both standing and on the move, straight in front, good shoulder placement, lean muscular neck, strong hindquarters, shown in good coat and moved soundly. 3 Jolley's Dyrham Dont Stop Me Now In Jolymore.
