SOUTHERN ENGLISH SETTER SOCIETY Sunday 15th July 2007 Judge: Mrs Jakki Stubbington (Bondgate) My thanks to the exhibitors for a quality entry of beautiful dogs and bitches, all of which had consistently good heads, which I believe to be the essence of this breed. Some exhibits did, however, lack in depth of chest and movement varied widely. Sadly, some very well constructed entries left their best coats at home on the day. I must also thank my stoic stewards, Doreen and Clive and the officers and committee for their kind hospitality and hard work in producing the show. The weather was a bit iffy in the afternoon and not everyone agreed with the decision to move inside for the bitch judging. Thankfully, it cleared up enough for us to move outside for the challenge for BIS etc. BIS Dennis's Mariglen Pengtsson's Legacy. RBIS and BOS Littlechild's Sh Ch Ravensett Bianca. BPIS Collier's Ravensett My Kinda Guy at Roszarke BVIS Dunks' Sh Ch Samelen Shooting Star MINOR PUPPY DOG (3,2) 1 Collier's Ravensett My Kinda Guy at Roszarke. Striking, well grown o/b 8mths. SPECIAL VETERAN DOG 7 - 9 (3) I would just like to comment that the veteran classes were an absolute joy to judge with some fabulous oldies and all a real credit to their owners to present them in such good order. It filled my heart to see the way these oldies performed, enjoying every minute of it and I felt honoured to see some of my old favourites on the day.
