SPECIAL AWARD CLASSES

Thank you to all the exhibitors for a lovely entry and braving the sunshine on what was the hottest day of the year.

MICHAEL WINCH YEARLING MEMORIAL AWARD (12, 3)

1. Sykes's Daraquist Barry A Reef, quality B/B boy of 10 months who stood out in this strong class. Handsome masculine head with a dark well shaped eye, low set ears and soft melting expression. Good reach of neck leading into well-placed shoulders, level topline and good tailset. Excellent bone with straight front and tight round feet. Good depth of chest and spring of rib for age. He presented an elegant and balanced profile when stood and covered the ground with tail slashing from side to side as he moved around the ring, I loved him and would have gladly taken him home. 2, Fisher's Beechanger Dusty Miller, handsome 14 month old O/B dog with lots to like, presenting a pleasing picture in profile and was not disappointed when I went over him. Masculine head with soft expression, muscular neck into well laid shoulders, deep in brisket, balanced outline with good angulation fore and aft, moved okay but not as well as winner on the day.3. Harris's Gemsett Ultra Violet.

LESLEY ALLAN-SCOTT OPEN MEMORIAL AWARD (13 ,7)

1. Tompsett's Radbrooks Kokomo, dark B/B girl who I have judged previously and was pleased to go over her again as since her maternity duties has matured nicely. She is elegant in appearance and balanced throughout, she has the prettiest of heads with dark eye and soft feminine expression. Clean neck of good length set on good lay of shoulders, with level topline, good depth to chest and well angulated in front and rear. She moved effortlessly around the ring with good driving rear action using her tail correctly. She was easily the best mover in this class. 2. Thompson's Ravensett Ralph Lauren, young man who is so elegant but still masculine and appeals so much for breed type. Good balanced head with square muzzle and well defined stop. He is well constructed throughout with sound conformation and balanced outline. Shown in excellent coat and condition. He carried his tail well on the move but lost out to 1st place as he was suffering from the heat, but I like him a lot. 3. Bryant & Hollis's Phenset Silver Moon.
