           promising Blue Belton with a stunning head and eye. Good front 
           angulation,deep chest, moved well, true and straight, but didnt 
           have time to settle as the only one in the class. Best Puppy Dog

           1st - Derry Mrs A, Mrs I Schoneville, Mr P & Mrs S Williams, 
           Hawklawn Hazzard County At Balvenie JW Balanced good size Tri dog 
           with plenty of bone and substance, a pleasing head of equal 
           proportions, long muscular neck which flows into his shoulders. Well 
           sprung ribs, level topline, sound on the move with a lashing tail and 
           head held high. 
          
           2nd - Wilkinson - Sergeant Mrs H.J, Walshaw Cant Stop 
           Dancing, A short bodied compact dog with a straight front and tight 
           feet, nicely presented, elegant head with low set ears, moved well, 
           would prefer more front angulation. 
          
           3rd - Thomas Mrs T & Sharples Mrs M Kanietter Sea Shanty 
          
           Novice Dog (1,0) 
          
           1st - Wilkinson - Sergeant Mrs H.J, Walshaw Cant Stop Dancing 
          
           Graduate Dog (2,0) 
          
           1st - Warrington Mr K, Culverwell Sun Dancer Well made balanced 
           Orange Belton dog, with excellent bone and substance. Fantastic coat, 
           front and rear angulation. Well ribbed up, deep chest, Masculine 
           balanced head with well defined stop, a dark eye, low set ears, moved 
           out well Reserve Best dog & Reserve Best In Show. 
          
           2nd - Carlin Mrs N J & Miss L.E, Ennydloc Yorkshire Image 
           Stunning head eye, clean long neck which flows into his shoulders. 
           Level topline, good angulation front and rear, correct tail set. 
           Moved straight and true, a little more coat underneath would balance 
           out the overall outline of this dog which I am sure will come in time. 
          
           Post Graduate Dog (1,0) 
          
           1st - Thomas Mr D & Mrs T Kanietter Sarka Balanced dog with a 
           lovely head and raised brow, good shoulders, short back, level 
           topline, moved well  
          
           Limit Dog (4,0) 
          
           1st - Pitts Mr S Wandsfell Dreamkeeper A quality, mature young Tri 
           dog who was just lovely to go over as everything just flows. A 
           masculine head with a kind expression, low set ears, his clean strong 
           neck flows into his well laid shoulders. Correct front with muscular 
           round bone. Excellent front angulation, well sprung ribs, and plenty 
           of body and substance. He excels in his rear angulation with stifles, 
           well bent and plenty of muscle. Moved with drive with a lashing tail 
           in line with his back. Lovely presentation, with plenty of coat. Best 
           Dog and Best in Show.  
          
           2nd - Williams Mr S & Mrs M Richecca Midwinter Balanced dark 
           Tri colour dog with a lovely long lean head, good shoulders, straight 
           front and strong topline, moved well with a lashing tail again in 
           line with his back.  
          
           3rd - Wilkinson - Sergeant Mrs H.J Phenset Firestorm 
          
           Open Dog (1,0) 
          
           1st Wood Mr S.A & Mrs H.R & Weller Mrs J Juldeane Prime 
           Suspect Orange Belton with a good masculine head, long neck, clean 
           balanced outline, level topline, excellent bend of stifle, another 
           with a correct tail set inline with his back which he used well on 
           the move.

           Lovely elegant dark Tri puppy, just a baby but with lots of 
           potential. Balanced throughout, deep chest, straight front, tight 
           feet, moved straight and true.

           1st - Williams Mr B & Mrs J Goldbirch Northern Disco At 
           Skippit Blue Belton with ample angulation, clean neck, good head and 
           low set ears, short back, strong topline, good tail placement, a 
           happy mover moving like she owned the ring with her lashing tail. 
           Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Show. 
          
           Veteran (3,1) 
          
           1st - Deering Mrs D Skylark Of Rosetimber Wow what a mover for an 
           eleven year old, Orange who looked fantastic for her age with great 
           bone and substance. Beautiful head, super shoulder placement, 
           straight front, moved with reach and drive and a lashing tail. Best 
           Veteran in Show. 
          
           2nd - Seaman Mrs B.K Mariglen Dusty Blonde A smaller Orange Belton 
           in good coat and condition, again a happy mover with a lashing tail 
           looking great for her age.  
          
           Junior Bitch (3,1) 
          
           1st - Welburn Mr P& Mrs N Oshowa Just A Dream Blue Belton with 
           great angulations, compact and balanced, well presented and handled, 
           covered the ground well on the move. 
          
           2nd - Bayliss Miss K Dyrham Girl On Fire Dark Tri Colour with 
           Beautiful lean head, in good coat, balanced with a deep chest, moved well.

           1st - Sykes Mr & Mrs Sharnyx Springtime Lovely well made 
           Orange Belton who was a pleasure to go over. A good head with deep 
           square muzzle, low set ears, strong neck into well laid shoulders, 
           good front angulation and wide hindquarters in good coat and 
           condition, used her tail on the move well.  
          
           2nd - Welburn Mr P & Mrs N Oshowa Love To Dream mature Blue 
           Belton for age, lots of bone and substance, in fantastic coat, long 
           lean head and a dark eye, move out well.  
          
           Post Graduate (4,0) 
          
           1st - Welburn Mr P & Mrs N Oshowa Dream Come True Balanced 
           Blue Belton with good head and eye, clean neck into her fantastic 
           shoulders, good bend of stifle, great topline and tail set, flashy 
           mover with drive. 
          
           2nd - Deering Mrs D Pettifox Of Rosetimber Orange Belton with 
           clean neck and shoulders, short coupled, good rear angulation, level 
           topline again moved with drive. 
          
           3rd - Prest Miss A Caleydene Comet

           1st - Dykes Mrs A Caleydene Connextion Mature balanced Orange 
           which you can not fault, completely balanced throughout, enough 
           angulation, moved straight and true. Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex 
          
           2nd - Pitts Mr S Wandsfell Keep Me Dreaming Tri coloured litter 
           Sister to the Best in Show winner with all the same qualities, but 
           overflowing with energy. A stunning example of the breed and the one 
           I would have taken home.  
          
           3rd - Seaman Mrs B.K Mariglen Villanelle 
          
           Open Bitch (4,1) 
          
           1st - Loakes Mrs S.D Sh Ch Goldbirch Hearts Desire JW SHCEX Tri 
           colour in full coat, stunning head with a kind expression and raised 
           brow, ample angulation, balanced throughout, moved well. Reserve Best Bitch 
          
           2nd - Deville Mr E Dutch Ch Fishwick Play it Cool Dark Tri with 
           lots of strong round bone, plenty of substance, good spring of rib, 
           deep chest, balanced, super bend of stifle, in good coat and 
           condition, moved well with head held high. 
          
           3rd - Dykes Mrs A Sh Ch Wansleydale Bedazzled At Caleydene 
          
           Beginners Bitch (1,0) 
          
           1st - Prest Miss A Caleydene Comet Balanced, well presented and 
           handled Orange with a lovely head and eye, good bone, moved well.  
          
             
           
          
           Southern English Setter Open Show - Memorial Classes - 1st June 2025 
          
             I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge 
           at their show and the exhibitors for their entries, it was a pleasure 
           to have the opportunity to go over your dogs. 
          
             Michael Winch Yearling Award (12,4abs) 
          
            1st Derry, Schoneville and William's Hawklawn Hazzard County at 
           Balvenie JW, 20 month old Tri Dog. A lovely balanced, masculine dog, 
           with lovely head and expression. Super angulations fore and aft, 
           which enabled him to power round the ring with drive with a slashing 
           tail. Lovely tight feet and well off for bone. A very promising young 
           dog, a real showman, who I shall follow his career with interest. 
          
           2nd Welburn's Oshowa Just a Dream, 14 month old Blue Bitch. Feminine 
           head, with melting expression and dark eyes. Excellent front and rear 
           angulations, which allowed her to move freely and true. Another who 
           shows lots of promise. 
          
           3rd Wilkinson-Sargeant's Walshaw Can't Stop Dancing 
          
           Lesley Allan-Scott Open Award (8,1abs) 
          
           1st Dyke's Caleydene Connextion, 4 year old orange bitch. Very pretty 
           head, with a soft and gentle expression. Long lean neck, leading to 
           well angulated shoulders. Excellent rear angulation with stifles well 
           bent, which allowed her to glide round the ring with ease, holding 
           her level topline. Lovely deep chest and spring of rib. She is in 
           super coat and condition. 
          
           2nd Deville's Dutch CH Fishwick Play it Cool, 3 year old tri bitch. 
           Another lovely girl, slightly larger frame than 1 but still feminine, 
           with excellent balance overall. Lovely head shape with well defined 
           stop, and super dark eyes. Moved with drive with slashing level tail 
           action. She just needs more coat to complete the overall picture.
